Why the right closure is so important<\/h4>

A closure is more than a technical detail. It is the connection that ensures that a bracelet or necklace stays in place, even with daily use. blot:
– close safely without accidentally opening;
– are durable, even with intensive wear;
– match the design and material of the bracelet;
– Be resistant to external influences, such as skin oils, moisture or sunlight.<\/p>

I work with stainless steel, 925 silver and 14 carat gold clasps. Most of the memorial jewelry I make is provided with a stainless steel clasp. Stainless steel is my most used material, and for good reason. It is:
– strong and wear-resistant – ideal for everyday use;
– colorfast – it does not discolor like silver or other metals;
– skin-friendly – suitable for most skin types;
– Low maintenance – it retains its appearance without intensive brushing.<\/p>

I also work with 925 silver and 14 carat gold clasps on a number of jewelry from my collection:

Of course, you can always indicate your preference for a certain type of closure or specific type of band. Different clasps for different bracelets<\/h4>

– Head\/bowl slide closure:
Used with sailrope bracelets, other cord-shaped bands and with a number of leather round bands. This clasp slides securely into each other without a visible click or magnetic closure and stays securely in place. In addition to my own positive experiences, this closure has also received many positive reactions from customers over the years, because of its wearing comfort, reliability and ease of use.<\/p>

Usage tips for the cup\/cup sliding closure<\/h4>

The cup\/cup sliding closure is designed for sturdiness and safety. Still, there are a few
Simple tips to keep it comfortable and pleasant to use for a long time:<\/p>

– Keep the rubber flexible with a little Vaseline:
If the sleeve becomes a little stiffer over time, you can carefully rub the rubber on the inside of the closure with a small amount of petroleum jelly. This allows the sleeve to slide smoothly over the stainless steel rod with ball head and the bowl, without compromising strength or safety.<\/p>

– Caution when closing on the skin:
When you slide the sleeve closed, it is important that you do not push it directly against the skin. If the jewelry is tight on the wrist and you press the clasp straight down, a skin can get in between unnoticed. You can easily prevent this by holding the bracelet slightly up from the wrist or placing a finger under the clasp while closing. This way you close the jewelry comfortably and safely.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

– Carabiner clasp (also called lobster clasp):<\/h4>

Commonly used in steel wire bracelets with natural stone or glass charms. This closure hooks into an eye and closes with a spring mechanism. They are reliable, sturdy and easy to use.<\/p>

– Hook-in closure for ladies bangles:<\/h4>

With all women’s bangle bracelets I use a hook-in clasp: a hook that slides firmly into a small closing hole and does not come off by itself. This is one of the safest clasps and offers maximum security when worn on a daily basis, without compromising the elegant appearance of the bracelet.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

– Snap lock closure:<\/h4>

This clasp clicks closed with a clear \u201csnap\u201d and locks firmly in a special mechanism. The snap lock closure is chosen for its high level of ease of use and security. Safety is of great importance with all my memorial jewelry, and this clasp offers extra security due to the audible and tactile click when closing. It is used with different types of bracelets and is suitable for those who value
to a tight-fitting, reliable mechanism – regardless of the design or the number of processes in the jewellery.<\/p>

– Magnetic closure with extra security:<\/h4>

Some of my jewelry is equipped with a magnetic closure. These closures are made of high-quality stainless steel and contain a powerful magnet, combined with an extra security: for example, the closure can only be opened at an angle or is equipped with a locking mechanism with a twisting movement.
These fasteners combine high ease of use with extra security, and are therefore suitable for everyday wear – provided they are carefully treated and protected from moisture, dirt and extreme external influences.
With magnetic closures, it is important to pay attention to use in certain circumstances. Think of:
– moisture, dirt or excessive perspiration that gets into the fastener;
– prolonged exposure to water;
– repeated strong shocks or bumps;
– extreme temperature changes.
In some cases, this can lead to wear or slight erosion in the system in which the magnet lies, reducing the magnetic force. That is why I recommend, no matter how strong and secure the magnetic closure is, to handle this type of closure with care. Avoid prolonged moisture, protect the jewellery from extreme external influences and occasionally check the clasp on the inside, where the magnet is located,
for any dirt accumulation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Safety always comes first<\/h4>

Because my jewelry contains a tangible memory, I consciously only choose closures that do not just open. Each closure is attached by hand and checked for strength and closing force.
